Why MNU?The English program at MNU integrates faith and academics, helping students explore their own values as they encounter great works of literature. All majors take a course in Faith and Literature. Seamlessly connecting literature, communication, culture and Christianity is a foundational part of the curriculum. As an English student, one of your top priorities is learning to write effectively. MNU’s campus publications offer you plenty of opportunities to develop your writing skills; students can write for the school newspaper or yearbook. Or, volunteer and gain hands-on editorial experience with the department’s literary publication, Bluestem. The magazine also provides a venue for students to publish their creative stories, essays and poems. Study abroad provides a rewarding way to experience another culture and language as you learn more about your own. Through the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, students have plenty of opportunity to travel in diverse locations such as Thailand, Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Germany, Switzerland, China, Australia and more.
