Bachelor of Arts

Not only does learning about the past help us better understand the present, it can guide us to make better decisions for the future. Whether you’re unearthing old archives to conduct original research, or studying the writings of others, history is an important and fascinating subject.

As a history student at MNU, you’ll take courses in U.S. history, world civilization, medieval and modern Europe, 20th century America, history of the Middle East and more. You’ll learn how to conduct research and present scholarly information. You’ll explore world history’s influence on global issues today. You’ll study government and politics, particularly in the United States.

A degree in history provides an excellent foundation for law school; MidAmerica’s pre-law students frequently major in history, with supplemental courses in accounting, economics, writing and ethics. The pre-law adviser will help you determine the best academic plan for you.

Mock Trial Team

If you’re considering law school, you’ll definitely be interested in MNU’s Mock Trial team. A team of six to eight students prepares a simulated case for trial, serving as witnesses and attorneys as they compete in intercollegiate tournaments that are judged by local legal professionals. Along with legal knowledge, you’ll gain experience with public speaking and presentation, critical thinking and more, great skills in any career.
