Chemistry

Chemistry is fundamental to understanding the phenomena of the world. Chemistry students at MNU are given hands on experience using the gas chromatograph, high performance liquid chromatograph, and nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, ultraviolet/visible, and atomic absorption spectrometers. Students begin using this equipment as freshmen, and have many opportunities to gain hands-on real-world experience.

Forensic Biology

A rigorous academic program involving courses in biology, chemistry, and criminal justice prepares you for an exciting career as a forensic scientist.

Forensic Chemistry

The Forensic Chemistry program at MidAmerica offers you an opportunity to pursue this interesting science career. You’ll take challenging courses in chemistry, biology, and criminal justice supported by plenty of hands-on experience in the laboratory and an internship at a local crime lab.
