Opportunity to Learn In A Hands On Environment - We're serious about preparation. We believe students need knowledge and ability. Most teaching methodology classes at MidAmerica Nazarene University are directly linked to practicums. Students learn how to teach and then get the opportunity to try it out in an actual classroom. Most students have 100 hours in school settings before they ever begin their formal student teaching experience. Practicum experiences are sequenced so that students begin with simple observations in early labs and progress through various stages to teaching in later labs. These practicums build confidence and insure success in student teaching.

You'll observe, tutor, design instruction, and teach in some of the best schools with some of the best teachers. Many of them are our graduates. The Division of Education is also nationally accredited through NCATE (National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education.)
