Hardware & Software Recommendations

Hardware:

A personal computer is not required for Graphic Design students. The Art Lab contains eleven Macintosh computers running Mac OSX. It is accessible to students when classes are not in session. However, if you wish to purchase your own computer, here are two recommended models.

Desktop: eMac

128MB SDRAM (upgradeable to 1GB)

256K L2 cache @ 800MHz
12-inch TFT Display

32MB DDR video memory

These are minimum hardware system recommendations. Many other computer systems would satisfy your needs (including PC). The only requirement is that it be compatible with the software listed below.

Graphic software: Adobe Creative Suite
Illustrator CS, Photoshop CS, InDesign CS, GoLive CS, Acrobat Pro
