CHERI BLADHOLM ('77) is one of the top illustrators in the Christian publishing world today. She recently created 16 scenes for a new book by Max Lucado titled Small Gifts in God’s Hands (now in stores). She also illustrates for Bethany, Tyndale and Zondervan publishers.

STEVE BETTS graduated from MNU in 1982 with a degree in Music. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma in 1995.

Dr. Betts is now Coordinator of Piano Pedagogy and Class Piano at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to assuming this position in 1997, he was an independent teacher in Wichita, Kansas for fifteen years and also served as an adjunct faculty member of Wichita State University. While in Wichita, he served on the music staff of the Wichita First Church of the Nazarene.

Dr. Betts has appeared as presenter and panelist for MTNA national conventions and in 1988 was chosen as one of six graduate students to teach and perform at the National Conference on Piano Pedagogy. He has written articles for "Keyboard Companion" and "Keys." He has recorded for Summit Records and Crimson Heart Records and also serves as Educational Consultant for "The Frances Clark Library for Piano Students."
