Science and Math

We live in a highly technical society where opportunities abound in the areas of science and mathematics. Upon completion of a degree through the Science and Mathematics Division, you will have the opportunity to pursue a challenging and rewarding career as a physician, research scientist, computer programmer, systems analyst, professor, or high school teacher. These are just a few of the professional opportunities that await our graduates.

In the Science and Mathematics Division, our goal is to provide you with an education based on academic excellence. Our small class sizes allow you to receive the individual help that you might need and participate in hands-on lab experiences that might not be possible with larger classes. But your learning experience does not stop at the classroom door. During your time at MNU, you will also have the opportunity to participate in activities such as:

  • Mock medical school interviews.
  • A visit to the biology department's natural area.
  • Hands-on experience in the animal room or greenhouse.
  • Serving as an assistant in a biology, chemistry, or computer lab.

Some students also choose to participate in internships at local companies or summer research programs at major universities to get more "real world" experience.

There is also a genuine team spirit within the division that will have a positive impact on both your education and your future. Faculty and students in this division foster an atmosphere that is cooperative rather than competitive. This allows you to grow more, both intellectually and spiritually.

Rick Badley

All of these factors combine to provide you a quality education. Therefore, our graduates are highly successful in competing for jobs and for positions in graduate and medical schools.
