Chemistry

Chemistry is fundamental to understanding the phenomena of the world.

Chemistry students at MNU are given hands on experience using the gas chromatograph, infrared, ultraviolet/visual, and atomic absorption spectrometers. In fact, students operate our instrument room. Our small upper division classes allow for individual attention.

Many of our graduates continue their education in graduate school or professional schools, while others choose to enter the work force upon commencement.

Objectives

  • To cultivate the scientific spirit and approach through instruction in the modern methods of pure and applied chemistry.
  • To provide a background for graduate and medical study.
  • To equip students for work in industry and government.
  • To support a teaching major in secondary education.
  • To encourage a harmony between science and the Christian faith.

We welcome your further inquiry! To contact the Chemistry Area Coordinator, Dr. Clarence Linsey, email clinsey@mnu.edu.
