Real World Experience
The Art Show, a benefit organized by Dr. Mark Hamilton’s public relations class, surpassed its goal of $2,000 in revenue, which students donated to Artists Helping the Homeless at the April 15 event. The students executed all aspects of the art show with the objective of learning real-world event planning and public relations.
Attended by more than 250 patrons, the event was held at Heartland Community Church in Olathe and showcased Kansas and Missouri artists displaying ceramics, printed digital art, sketches, paintings, photography, screen prints, and other art forms.
