School of Education PERK Grant

Dr. Humerickhouse currently coordinates the Teacher Quality Performance grant, PERK, Preparing Educators for Rural Kansas as well as coordinates CBase and Praxis testing for students entering and admitted to the School of Education.
Dr. Humerickhouse holds a Kansas and Missouri elementary teaching license and has over 17 years experience in a variety of higher education settings including Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences at a virtual college, Associate Director of Technical Programs & Curriculum at the Kansas Board of Regents, Director of Honors Education at Kansas City Kansas Community College, and Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Sterling College. She has also served as an adjunct professor in teacher education at Washburn, Learning Strategies at Johnson County Community College, and Leadership Studies at Fort Hays State University and Barton County Community College. She has worked with several State and Federal grant projects focusing on faculty professional development and career readiness and has created online and hybrid courses for teacher education and leadership curriculum.
