Duties

Work in conjunction with the Business Office in securing the ASG allocations.

Budget the ASG allocations as directed in the Constitution.

Provide accurate records of all ASG funds, avoiding loss through carelessness.

Provide accurate records of the ASG’s income and expenditures.

Provide monthly financial statements (Income & Expense by account and current account balance reports) to each ASG Exec, Class and/or Club President.  These statements are to be given at the ASG council meeting the first Wednesday of every month, and for those who are not in attendance the reports shall be delivered through on-campus mail or email. prepare semester end reports (Income & Expense by account, Income & Expense by event, and make available to entire exec cabinet

Insure that payments are made only after prior authorization.

Provide the ASG President with records of unnecessary and unwise spending of all accounts.

Maintain accurate budget records by means of ASG computer and files and store so that records are easily accessible for information to assist in budgeting and planning the following year.

Serve on the Financial Affairs Planning Committee and as a student representative to the Board of Trustees.

Following spring elections, work with the newly elected President, the newly appointed Director of Finance, and the Administrative Advisor, to review the process of drafting the projected budget for the upcoming year.

Following spring elections, work with the newly elected and appointed Executive Cabinet members in forecasting the projected amount of money to be allotted for each of the upcoming year’s activities.

Work with the Director of Social Life on the fiscal aspect of the MNU Saver Card.

To be an active full voting member of the Executive Council of Student Government including the following responsibilities:

Attend all Work Weeks (May/August/January)

Attend LEAD Day

Attend ASG Council and Congress Meetings

Attend weekly ASG Executive Cabinet meetings

Attend the Legacy of Leadership Banquet

Attend Nazarene Student Leadership Conference (NSLC)
