Pat Ealy's 233 total yards and 2 touchdowns were the key in the #12 Pioneers' 26-16 victory over the #9 Lindenwood Lions. After a sloppy scoreless first quarter, MNU put up 19 points in the second period to take control of the game. The first half was highlighted by senior running back Kendall Addison's 48-yard touchdown run to give the Pioneers a 12-0 lead. After another MNU touchdown, the Lions made a field goal to close the half to make the score 19-3.

The second half scoring started with a beautiful 12-yard touchdown pass from senior QB Stinson Dean to wideout Brock Drumm. Drumm put a great fake on the DB to get free, Dean put the throw right on the numbers, and the offensive line provided the time to make it all happen. "It was a great team effort today," says Head Coach Jed Stugart. "No one had an off-the-charts game, but we were solid on both sides of the ball. I don't like our turnovers, but we overcame a few bad plays to come away with a big win."

Lindenwood scored a touchdown in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, but it wasn't enough.

QB Dean was 25-33 for 241 yards and 1 touchdown, Addison rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and senior line backer Chad Ammons led a stellar defense (3 turnovers) with 8 tackles and a forced fumble.

The Pioneers are 1-0 (1-0 HAAC). The next game is Saturday, September 13 @ Benedictine at 2pm.
