Softball

At MidAmerica we are looking for top-notch women athletes who are interested in experiencing the benefits of a Christian University, while helping to build a strong, successful softball program, in an environment where first-rate academics are stressed. With all the exciting changes going on at MNU it is a wonderful time to be a Lady Pioneer. We are actively recruiting talented women and scholarships are readily available.

MNU plays in the Heart of America Athletic Conference of the NAIA, a perennial powerhouse in several sports, including softball. The national tournament is represented by at least one, if not two conference teams every year. You can help us to be one of those teams.

The Lady Pioneers are continuing to make outstanding improvement under a highly qualified coaching staff that teaches hard work, commitment, and fundamentals. Whether a team member is on or off the field she is prepared to meet any challenge, which comes her way. I consider each one of my players to be an important part of the campus and the greater Kansas City community, in addition to being an integral part of the team.

Just as the softball program continues to make progress, the University is improving its facilities. Constructed in 1998 our outdoor complex is centrally located on campus and is tops in the Midwest Region. It includes enclosed bullpen areas for home and away teams, a hitting cage, covered brick dugouts with tiered seating, and lights to play evening doubleheaders. In addition to these outdoor facilities, the fall of 1999 marked the opening of the Cook Center, a state of the art complex complete with two hitting tunnels and a tartan gym floor for all our indoor practice needs.
