Name: Robert J. Santel, III
Major: Ministry
Class: Senior
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
"I praise God for those who invested in my life and my future."
Robert Santel is the type of guy who could be President of the United States. Funny and caring, and with a passion for politics, Rob is a natural leader. Yet the leadership that Rob aspires to is that of senior pastoral ministry: “I am following God’s call for my life.” He’s recently received his district minister’s license.
Rob has seen evidence of God directing in his life over and over. Originally, he had planned to attend another college whose aid package was significantly more than MNU’s. “After I told MidAmerica my decision not to attend, they offered me another award letter that was just the amount I needed,” Rob exclaimed. “Two weeks before SOAR (Student Orientation and Registration), I changed my decision for college to MNU. It has been the best decision of my life!”
Rob has not been idle while at MNU. Actively involved in Associated Student Government, he was freshman class Vice President, sophomore class President, and as now is Vice President for Student Services for Associated Student Government (ASG). He has also participated in an MNU improv group, and completed ministry internships and mission trips.
Because he is relying on his own resources to put himself through college, Rob is especially thankful to his benefactors. “Without the generosity of those who have sacrificed and worked hard to provide financial assistance, I honestly do not think I would be able to attend this wonderful institution.”
