Name: Arodi Sanchez
Major: Ministry
Class: Junior
Hometown: Santiago, Dominican Rep.
"MNU cares about quailty of education, but also students' personal development."
People from the Dominican Republic are some of the world’s friendliest people. Arodi Sanchez is no exception; the only thing bigger than Arodi’s smile is his heart. As a Ministry major, this is reflected in his occupational goals: “ I want to serve God, ministering to the poor, the sick, and the people rejected and ignored by society, regardless of where I am geographically.”
At MNU, he has crisscrossed the country on mission trips, been a Resident Assistant, organized student chapel services and accountability groups, visited the elderly, and even led a mission trip to his home country. “I love serving God and serving others,” Arodi says.
Faithful servants are rewarded, as Arodi knows first hand. “When I was told about MNU, I never thought that becoming a full time student was even possible, but the people of MNU were very kind to me and found a way to help me get enrolled in classes.” Arodi recalled. “MNU is an institution that cares about quality of education, but also the students’ personal development.”
Paying international costs and school bills is daunting to any student, but the continued support of unknown donors spurred him on. “A scholarship is a vote of confidence from others who believe in my potential.”
