"My spirit was at peace when I started going to MNU."
MNU has a great history of generations of families coming to school here. Yet Anzie Yangmi can go one better. Her parents and three sisters not only attended MNU, they traveled here from Thailand to do it. “MNU chose me,” Anzie put simply.
As a missionary kid, Anzie’s first move was to attend another U.S. university, but after a couple of years there, Anzie felt something missing. “I believe the transfer to MNU was the right decision because my spirit was at peace when I started going to MNU.”
Anzie served her new community by joining the executive board of the Black Student Union and leading a mission team to Thailand. “I have a desire for business and people. Organizational Leadership deals with managing people and helping them to become leaders themselves.”
Anzie hopes to one day equip people as leaders and she understands people are doing the same for her right now, thanks to scholarships. “Scholarships show a lot about the people who give them, as well as those in need of them,” she explained. “Those in need are dedicating four years of their lives to a discipline, and those who give show their compassion and involvement.”
Throughout all of the changes and adjustments Anzie has gone through, she has learned to an important insight from it all. “Remember who you are, who you want to be and where you want to go. Put God first and the rest will follow.”
