Art

Minor

If you’re the artistic type, a creative outlet can make you more productive in everything you do.

An Art minor offers a great addition to academic coursework – an opportunity to develop your talents in a different arena. An Art minor also strengthens an academic background in communications, marketing, education and more.

The Art minor includes coursework in drawing, painting, color, printmaking, ceramics and art history. That means you’ll receive a broad introduction to different artistic disciplines, along with their methods and techniques— from drawing with pencil and charcoal, to throwing pottery on a wheel. The art history course traces the development of art from the Renaissance to today.

You can also supplement your art classes with coursework from graphic design. Explore digital media, typography and page design, digital imaging, and more.

Our Macintosh computer lab with the latest design software offers the technological resources you’ll need to make the most of your developing artistic skill. You can also put your creativity to work at The Trailblazer Times, our student newspaper, or Conestoga, our student yearbook.
