MidAmerica Nazarene University senior Jen Costa, recognized as the 2010 HAAC player of the year, is putting on the presure. The senior elementary education major from Escalon, CA currently leads the NAIA conference in home runs, after hitting her 20th of the season on Wednesday against Evangel.

Costa, a pitcher who transferred to MNU as a junior, led the Pioneers to a 2010 appearance in the NAIA National Championships - a trip the team is looking to make again in 2011.

"We're definitely hoping we can take some people by surprise," Costa said. "Our goal is just to that final eight and see what happens if we get there."
