Dr. Jim Diehl has been named acting president of MidAmerica Nazarene University, effective July 1, 2011. Dr. Diehl will preside for six to twelve months during a presidential search. In addition to having previously served on the MNU Board of Trustees and the boards of several other institutions of higher education, Dr. Diehl served MNU as assistant to the president from 1973-1976. He has also been chairman of the Board of Regents at Northwest Nazarene University. A former pastor of churches in Iowa, Georgia and Colorado, Dr. Diehl is a prolific writer, and served the International Church of the Nazarene as a general superintendent from 1993 to 2009. Dr. Diehl and his wife Dorothy currently reside in Denver, Colo. An executive search committee, formed from a cross-section of Board of Trustee members and campus constituents, is developing the process for the search for the next university president. |
