More than 110 MNU students were out to make the Kansas City Metro a better place last weekend through a variety of community events.
Students at KCUYC’s Staycation provided fun activities for children at the center in an overnight at the center on Friday. The Staycation continued through Saturday evening, when the students brought the kids to MNU for a football game under the lights. For a chance to experience the excitement the kids enjoyed, watch a video of them at: http://vimeo.com/30399475. MNU students are raising $40,000 for KCUYC in the university’s Passion to Serve 2012 project. The funds will be used to expand the center’s capacity. Students also serve as mentors to the children at the center throughout the school year. |
