All-Star Selection Process
All-Tournament teams are selected by votes from each of the coaches in each team tournament in basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball.  Dodgeball will not have an all-tournament team or MVP because it is a first-year event (according to NYI Regional Council policy).  One player from each of those tournaments will be selected as the Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP).  Awards will be presented to the All-Tournament Team members and MVP’s during the MAXed Out Awards Ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

Art - Amanda Brant, Talent Director
Art exhibits need to be turned in by 11:00 AM on Friday in King 103 at College Church.  Judging will begin at 12:00 noon.  Exhibits must be picked up by 5:00 PM on Friday.

Basketball -
Kevin Hancock, Fred Toomey – Men’s
Dave McGaffey – Women’s

Men’s and women’s basketball games will begin on Thursday at 4:00 PM.  There will be two 18-minute halves with the clock being stopped only on technical fouls and during the last two minutes of the second half.  Standard high school rules apply. Championship games will take place on Saturday.  No jewelry is to be worn during competition.

Bible Quizzing -Chad Lynn, Director
Bible Quizzing will begin on Thursday night and will take place at Cunningham Family Life Center, adjacent to Cook Center.

Bowling - Bill Hodge, Director
Bowling competition will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday at Olathe Lanes East at 303 N. Lindenwood (west of Kmart).

Dodgeball - Jeff O’Rourke, Director
Dodgeball will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday on the tennis courts (east of Cook Center).  The tournament will be the best 2 out of 3 games in a match.  Games are 5 minutes in length.  In case of a tie, there will be a 1-minute overtime.

Flag Football (7 on 7) - Rick Dages, Darrin Richardson, Directors
Flag football games will take place on the football practice field #2, southeast of Cook Center, at 5:00 PM on Thursday.

Powerlifting - Eric Bonness, Director
Powerlifting will be held in the weight room (south hall) of Cook Center on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM.  Participants should check in and weigh at 1:00.  Shorts and t-shirt are required.

Skateboarding -  Cory Stipp, Director
Skatebaording competition will take place in the parking lot south of Cook Center on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM.  Participants should have their own safe equipment.

Soccer - Kevin Wardlaw, Directors
The first game will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday on the MNU soccer practice field, south of Ramsey Dorm.  NO SLIDE TACKLING ALLOWED.  There will be a 3-goal-per-person limit per game.

Table Tennis - Cal Callender, Director
Table tennis will be on Friday in Draper Basement.  Competition will begin at 11:00 AM.  This is double elimination.

Talent Competition - Amanda Brant, Director
Performance schedules will be posted in the Cook Center, the Office of Admissions in the Campus Center, and at each room used during the talent competition which begins at 8:00 AM on Friday.

Three-Point Contest - Kevin Hancock, Fred Toomey – Directors
The three-point contest for both junior high and senior high will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday in the Cook Center.  The finals will take place during the championship games for both age levels on Saturday.

Video Editing and Web Design - Josh Weinstock and Jeremy Menning, Director
Judging for Video Editing and Web Design should be finished by 12:00 noon on Friday and may be picked up at the Information Desk in Cook Center.

Women’s Volleyball - Rachel Ryden, Director
The first game will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday.  This is a double elimination tournament.  The winner of the match is best two out of three games.  Rally scoring is used.  Standard high school rules will be followed in all other instances.  Each team is allowed 2 time-outs per game.  Remember:  no jewelry.
