  • Successful author of grant proposals to NSF, EPA , the U.S. Department of Education and the Kauffman Foundation securing over $9 million.
  • Co-Director, Co-Principal Investigator of Technology Innovation Challenge Grant “KanCRN” Kansas Collaborative Research Network, August 1996-2001 $4 million. Focused on facilitating collaborative inquiry and research between students, teachers and university researchers.
  • Principal Investigator, Over the Top in TEAMS, NSF Collaborative Partnership for Math Science Achievement $4 million. 1997-1998. Focused on improving student achievement in math and science.
  • Principal Investigator, Kansas City Kansas STEM Initiative, $1.5 million from the Kauffman Foundation from 2006-2008. Focused on improving student achievement and successful participation in the STEM pipeline.
