MNU Scholarships


Scholarship information will be released in spring 2012.

 

MidAmerica Nazarene University wants to honor your hard work in obtaining and maintaining a high level GPA. Please see below to find out which scholarships you qualify for.

All awards are subject to limitations and changes, including being withdrawn from availability, at the discretion of the University if not previously committed by the university and accepted by the student in writing.

Athletic Awards

Available for every sport we have here at MNU. Scholarship amounts are determined by the team coach. For more information, please contact the Athletic Office at (913) 971-3278.

Music Awards

Based on audition with the MNU Fine Arts faculty. Award amounts vary and are renewable.For details, contact the division of Fine Arts at (913) 971-3441.

Church Matching Scholarships

All full-time traditional undergraduate students attending MNU may be eligible for this scholarship. More information on Church Matching Scholarships

  1. MNU will match up to $500 per student, per year for scholarship gifts given by a local church on behalf of students who attend that local church on a regular basis. The definition of “regular basis” shall be determined by the local church.
  2. There is no minimum amount required for the Church Match Scholarship contribution (i.e., a Church Match Scholarship gift of $25 will be matched by $25). There is no maximum Church Match Scholarship contribution per student, though the University match will now be limited to $500 per student, annually.
  3. Not dependent on a local church’s level of contributions through the Church of the Nazarene educational allocation system, nor is the Church Match Scholarship Program limited to Churches of the Nazarene on the North Central Region.

Nazarene Pastor Grant

This grant is available to children of active Nazarene parents, missionaries, full-time salaried ministerial staff members, full-time evangelists and full-time chaplains. To qualify a student must be 23 years of age or less. Married students are eligible for this grant only one year after marriage. The Pastor's Grant is $1,250 ($625 each semester) for each academic year.

ROTC Scholarships

Two, three, and four year ROTC scholarships are offered from both Army ROTC and the National Guard. Qualified cadets are eligible to receive up to full tuition and room and board. For details contact Captain William Chuber at (913) 971-3268, or {ml0}

Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship

MidAmerica Nazarene University values the opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to live in community with one another.
