Benefits

MNU provides a variety of voluntary fringe benefits for full time employees. A brief explanation of those benefits follow.

Health and Dental Coverage

Health and dental coverage for the employee is provided by the University. Dependant and family benefits are available at an additional cost to the employee. Coverage is effective the first month following the first day of employment.

Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, and LTD

The University provides basic Life Insurance, basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D), and Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage.

  • Basic Life and AD&D coverage is one times the employee's annual base salary to a maximum of $50,000. The employee has the option to purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouses, and dependent children.
  • Long Term Disability coverage is provided for full time employees. The LTD plan pays 60% of employees annual salary should they be disabled on a long term basis.

AFLAC

Full time employees may elect to participate in any of the following options provided by AFLAC:

  • Cancer Indemnity
  • Hospital Intensive Care
  • Accident Indemnity
  • Group Critical Illness

Participation is voluntary with premiums paid by the employee.

 

Retirement Information

Full time employees may elect to participate in a 403(b) plan. The plan options are:

Eligible participants are vested immediately upon enrollment.
