Including MNU in Your Plans

Remembering MNU in your Will or revocable trust allows you to make a significant gift to MidAmerica Nazarene University and at the same time allows you to maintain control over your assets during your life. The terms of your Will or revocable trust are flexible and can be changed throughout your lifetime should you decide to modify your charitable bequests.

You can ensure that MNU will continue to provide a quality Christian education for generations to come by designating MidAmerica as a recipient in your will or estate. This kind of gift is the most common type of planned gift made to MidAmerica.

When you think about making MidAmerica a beneficiary in your will, we suggest you consider both provisions for your family and for the charitable organizations you have valued during your lifetime. Then decide what portion of your estate you would like to give to MNU. If you feel you can’t make MidAmerica a primary beneficiary, you may want to consider making MNU a beneficiary that receives estate funds if your primary beneficiaries are unable to receive those gifts.

Charitable bequest language is simple and can either be a fixed dollar amount, a percentage of the total estate or a percentage of the residual estate. Leaving a charitable bequest to MidAmerica is a special way to leave a legacy for future generations.
