On Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m., in Mabee Library, the community is invited to attend the Student Scholarship Showcase, where six Pioneers will present interesting research related to a variety of academic disciplines at MNU. The spirit of the event, according to Bruce Flanders, administrator of Mabee Library and learning commons, is intended to highlight the high quality of student research currently being conducted at MNU, and inspire others to create research projects of their own. The students selected to present at the showcase are Morgan Bradford, Lindsey Eaton, Timothy Myers, Ian Perry, Philip Prado and Alex Schmitt.
Each fast-paced presentation adheres to a "20 by 20" delivery format, featuring 20 slides shown for 20-seconds each, leaving the audience with a concise illustration of the student's topic.
"This is not a competition," Flanders says, "but rather a chance to showcase interesting student research and scholarship that encompasses the various academic disciplines at MNU."
Emcees for the event are students Joshua Brisco and Justin Collins. The event is free and open to the public.
