At MidAmerica, there’s always something happening. Spontaneous games of Frisbee on the grass at university mall.
Hanging out with friends at the campus coffeeshop. plenty to keep you busy. Day-to-day interactions with classmates and friends.
Then, there are big events we anticipate all year! Like Thriftstore Prom, where students get formal in thriftstore
finds and head out for a fun night of rollerskating. Or Welcome Weekend, with Rootbeer Fest, Movie on the Mall, Late night Breakfast and a community fair hosting retailers, merchants and community organizations.
Plus homecoming, third-half lock-in, No-Shave November and more. (Curious? You’ll just have to experience it for yourself!)
Intramural activities offer more ways for each student to get involved. Even if you’re not the athletic type, you can take advantage of out-of-the-box (or off-the-court!) activities such as intramural chess or a spelling bee. These friendly competitions provide a great way to stay active and make friends.
Student government is composed of nine student representatives, who each lead a committee dedicated to managing campus issues. In addition, representatives are elected from each hall. Once a month, an open congress allows any student to share their input about campus life.
