Prior to enrollment, a student must complete the admission process by accomplishing the following:
Incoming Students:

Complete this Application for Admissions, by answering all questions. If an item is not applicable to you, please mark N/A. A $25 non-refundable application fee must accompany your application. Your application will not be processed without your $25 application fee. Checks or money orders should be made payable to MidAmerica Nazarene University (or MNU). Application and payment may also be submitted online.

Submit results of the American College Test (ACT) examination or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). MNU's ACT code is 1445 and SAT code is 6437.

Request your high school to submit a final, official high school transcript, showing date of graduation, and rank in class or its equivalent, to the Office of Admissions. You may download a transcript request form here. An official transcript is signed by a designated school official and stamped/sealed with an authorized school embossed seal or stamp. Acceptance can be administered with a minimum 6th semester, official high school transcript.

An official Admissions Interview. The interview should be completed while visiting campus, but can be completed over the phone if necessary. The Admissions Interview allows the admissions staff to better understand the student's situation and assists in ensuring institutional fit.

Submit an MNU Financial Aid application and FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid), available after January 1 each year.

Note: The Admissions deposit must be paid before the room assignment and pre-registration can proceed. This deposit will be applied directly to the studen'ts tuition balance during their first semester.

For incoming freshmen, acceptance and the awarding of any academic scholarships will be offered after official test scores and official transcripts are received. For transfer students, acceptance and the awarding of any academic scholarships will be offered after all official transcripts from previous colleges are received and evaluated by the Office of Registrar.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend one of two Summer Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) events offered in the summer. Students attending a SOAR event are allowed to pre-register and finalize registration in the summer. A time is allowed during this event for any necessary tests, such as, CLEP testing, ACT testing, and placement tests. Those attending SOAR are able to receive roommate assignments, get their post office box, etc. If unable to attend either SOAR events, these things can also be accomplished at the beginning of New Student Orientation in the fall.
