Pioneer Scholarships:

Other MNU Scholarship Opportunities for New Students:

First Choice Scholarships - ($2,000 - $3,000 per year)
30 Owens and 15 Smith First Choice Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. These scholarships are given to incoming freshmen who meet all of the requirements.

*A 2.75 and 3.0 MNU GPA must be maintained in order to retain the respective scholarship.

**Admissions Deposit is non-refundable after December 1st for First Choice Recipients.

Bresee Scholarship - ($5,000 per year)
This competitive academic scholarship is awarded to a select group of first-time freshman. This $5,000 scholarship is in addition to your MNU Academic Award.

*A 3.5 MNU GPA must be maintained in order to retain the Bresee Scholarship.

Honors Scholarship - (Full Tuition)
Six awards will be given each academic year to students that meet one of two requirements:

1. an ACT composite score of 34 or higher (SAT of 1510 or higher on the Critical Reading and Math sections) OR

2. a National Merit Finalist

Athletic Awards
Available for every sport we have here at MNU. Scholarship amounts are determined by the team coach.

Music Awards
Based on audition with the MNU Fine Arts faculty. Award amounts vary and are renewable.

Church Matching Scholarships
All full-time traditional undergraduate students attending MNU from one of the eight districts of the Church of the Nazarene, which comprise MNU's educational region, may be eligible for this three-for-one scholarship if:

  1. Your Nazarene church has paid its educational budget in full for the previous year.
  2. Your church awards the first $250. MNU awards a three-for-one match up to a maximum of $750 ($375 each semester).
Nazarene Pastor Grant
This grant is available to children of active Nazarene parents, missionaries, full-time salaried ministerial staff members, full-time evangelists and full-time chaplains. To qualify a student must be 23 years of age or less. Married students are eligible for this grant only one year after marriage. The Pastor's Grant is $1,250 ($625 each semester) for each academic year.

ROTC Scholarships
Two, three, and four year ROTC scholarships are offered from both Army ROTC and the National Guard. Qualified cadets are eligible to receive up to full tuition and room and board.
