English 113G--Writing Skills
Course Description
This is a course designed to review the fundamentals of written English. Students who receive ACT scores of 16 or below are required to enroll in this class. Grading procedures are A, B, C, NC(no credit). A satisfactory grade must be earned before enrolling in Engl 123G--English Composition.

Course Objectives

1. To practice and improve critical thinking skills applicable to/for written expression.
2. To acquire basic skill in the use of library and computer facilities for the enhancement of written communication and presentation.
3. To review, reinforce, and master grammatical and mechanical conventions basic to and necessary for fluent college-level composition writing.
4. To increase ability in written communication of meaningful content.
5. To develop skill in the Writing Process, making if possible to adequately evaluate and revise one's own written work.
6. To become sufficiently prepared to enter Engl 123--English Composition.
