The one where you get the lowdown on Mabee.

Mabee Library:  *As you walk in the library you should look to the left and give a nice smile and friendly hello to the student workers at the front desk. Bottom level – This is the “social level.” If you want to talk and socialize and if you’re okay with your studying being randomly interrupted by your peers then this level is where you should be. Dewey’s – On the bottom level we have our coffee shop/cafe. They have tons of specialty drinks like coffee mixes, frozen blends, ciders  etc. There are also other bottled and canned drinks such as pop, Izze, fruit[…]

Stephen Rowell interview of sorts

Attention MidAmerica Nazarene University Blogs followers: Planned for this week’s episode was the much anticipated interview of MNU’s own Stephen Rowell. Stephen gave advice and described the role of the best friend of a guy in the relationship. He comes with much expertise, and I am sorry to announce that due to circumstances which were out of my control, the interview was tampered with. See below. Check out the hilarious interview which unfolded. Over and out!

The Ships of Relation

Relationship: Ring by spring baby! Ahhhh, the beautiful S.S. Relation. Some are more party cruise ships, maybe one like the ship above (partially majestic, functional, and the destination acquired) or maybe just a row boat for one. As detailed as we could get about the way parts of a ship could reflect the many different facets presented in the realm of relationships, let’s just focus on what’s true and what may be something that we’ve just picked up along the way. In today’s society there are numerous misconceptions and unspoken rules that may cause quite the blunder at times. If[…]

The one where classes were cancelled!

SNOW DAY!!!!!!!! We all just found out recently that our classes have been cancelled for tomorrow! We were all freaking out and yelling down the halls and calling people. Yes – college kids get just as excited or even more excited about not having classes! Right after we found out that we didn’t have class I called up my friend Hannah and we decided to watch the recording of the bachelor: Sean tells all! It is so much fun to live among all of your friends and have the freedom to do whatever you want because you are in charge[…]

For the Ladies.

Of all the places one would expect to find inspiration or an encouraging word, I believe the restroom would perhaps be the last place. However, this one cheesy 90’s poster in a ladies restroom on campus reminded me of a conversation that I had this past week with a woman that works with me at the Learning Center, which is a daycare program on campus. This vibrant, 67-year-old lady who has worked with children for years has spent most of her adult life as a pastor’s wife. This role of supporting her husband in ministry had often brought along pressures and expectations in which she[…]

What’s Next?

It’s that point in the semester and the year when things start to get crazy. Relationships become tense and possibly broken, stress is out of control, and New Years resolutions become distant and put on the back burner for next year. School is weighing down and Spring Break is looking pretty nice! The weather isn’t helping much either. It’s cold, cloudy and that means BEDTIME IS ALL THE TIME! Metaphorically, the road/mountain we are on is presenting numerous curves and twists that are throwing off your alignment. Why is it happening like this though? Maybe it’s because the place we[…]

The Rules of Dating at MNU

Friends. Followers. Lend me your eyes. (ears would be good too.) A good friend of mine with whom I interviewed 2 days prior named Andy Blum RE-FILMED our interview. I can testify that this is way better than the video posted yesterday. Watch us talk to my computer here. Happy day after Valentine’s day and enjoy. Over and Out!

English Comp. Inquiry :P

HEY GUYS!! SOO the other day in one of my classes we had a little discussion that really made me think a lot, so I would like to share that with you guys. BUT! First of all, as most of you know, it is Valentine’s day!  So happy Valentine’s day! I really hope all of you enjoy your day!  This is definitely not my favorite holiday but I can still appreciate it. Anyway, back to the original topic: the conversation I had in class.  In my English Composition II class, we were talking about an essay that we were given[…]
