New Dorm Room Update

Hello friends! Ok just an extra quick post to show you guys my new room!  I am rooming with my good friend Mckenna this semester and we are both very excited!  We pretty much redecorated everything, so I thought I would share! Here is an overview from the door! We have Christmas lights all the way around our room for some extra light.     This is my bed!  Above it are bulletin boards with my favorite pictures of my friends and family!  And the one in the middle is of Venice, Italy which is my dream place to go…[…]

Advice Session 3 | Dealing With College Stress

Hello friends! I hope you all had a wonderful winter break!  Right now life is all about getting back into the swing of things… New classes, new transfer friends, and for me a new roommate! Now for me when life starts to get kind of crazy (going to classes, working, trying to get homework done, keeping a semi-clean dorm room, and attempting to maintain a social life) I get a bit overwhelmed.  But there are a few things I can always rely on! 1. Spend time with the Lord!  This is by far the most important and helpful thing you[…]

School’s Back in session!

First off, here’s a pic from the wonderful, coveted by some, loved by most, native to the West Coast: In-N-Out Burger:   And then when I got back early, for RA training, one of our RE’s who I will just say is from California himself, and also a lover of In-N-Out, shared with us some wisdom over the Spring semester. Wisdom that was only amplified by the wearing of a Spider-Man costume. Another great opportunity I’ve had hear at MNU is to work in the Office of University Advancement. It’s lovely white collar work for me, a mere assistant: Making[…]

Grounded

This break was full of adventures! Texas, a pretty girl, and an intense Jesus filled retreat; just to name the highlights. One of the most consistent adventures I embarked on was to a local coffee shop that warms my soul. Mead’s Corner. Click on this ^^^^ This place is the epitome of serenity. It offers a peace that just has the Holy Spirit as the composition of the atmosphere. Alongside the fair trade coffee they have gelato, beautiful art/photography, an amazing staged area used for artists, and a quality view into the city.This place is my inspiration, my hangout, and[…]

The Perks Of Staying ON Campus

Whilst I was away during winter break, I had a lot of time to myself…like a lot of time. You know, that’s never a bad thing, but with this spare time I found myself thinking about how much I missed MNU’s campus and how life would be strangely different without it. After all, they do say: You never know what you have until it’s gone.  Welp, now that that’s out of the way, I have compiled a list of, what I like to call, The Perks of Staying on campus. Number One: Once you’ve been on campus, there’s no turning[…]

Goodbye to christmas break, hello to a new semester!

Hello Blog World. :] This break has been pretty wonderful. Not having to worry about homework, writing papers, or waking up from a nap to get to class on time has been very nice! Spending time to just rest, especially in the Lord, has been amazing as well. It was nice to have so much time on my hands to be able to read the word and seek God without any distractions surrounding me. Other than spending Christmas day in Austin, Texas, I did some more things over this break that I want to share with you guys! I went to an antique store with some of my[…]

Welcome 2014! {Word of the Year}

Hello friends! I can’t believe Christmas break is coming to a close… and I absolutely can’t even comprehend we are living in 2014!  Where has the time gone?! So for this weeks blog, in honor of the new year, I think it is only fitting to share with you something that my church has done for the last couple of years in the new year.  Our pastor challenged us last year to choose a word of the year.  This “word” would be a theme of the year for your walk with the Lord.  At first I thought it was kind[…]

Every thing is a lot; but it is also hardly anything, it is actually very little.

    So after Mexico, crossing back over, I had the chance to reunite with some friends from high school. Which included this bestie: Brett Bird.     Lastly, the toughest part of this break, believe it or not-however cheesy it may sound- has been being away from my special lady Jamie Furnas! Thankfully, inventions such as the telephone, Skype, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook helped us be able to stay connected in one sense at least. Totally stoked am I to see her beautiful face tomorrow night!! Hope these pics and vids were able to bring a smile or two[…]

an airplane to Austin, and an Artshow

Hey Friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve last posted, but don’t worry, I haven’t just been sitting around doing nothing for  a couple of weeks. I want to show you guys what I did for Christmas this year! And it wasn’t exactly a white Christmas… So this year was the first time I went somewhere out of my home state for Christmas. I went to Austin, Texas! This is where my mom is currently located, so my brother and I took a plane to Austin and celebrated Christmas with her, just the three of us. Here’s a picture of the beautiful sunrise I[…]
