The one where the Kingdom came!

Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well. Here at MNU it’s spiritual deepening week! Yesterday morning at chapel we had Dr. Green from Trevecca speak and he was very excited and enthusiastic about sharing with us how our faith should maybe be ‘childlike.’ Last night was KINGDOM COME! Kingdom Come is a monthly worship service and it is amazing. Students gather at Bell and just worship the Lord and partake in the Lord’s supper. This is probably my favorite event that we have on campus because God truly moves in every service and I enjoy every second of[…]

The one where you learn TWENTY-one new things.

Learn TWENTY new things today: A crocodile can’t stick it’s tongue out. A shrimp’s heart is in it’s head. It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky. More than 50% of the people in the world have never made or received a telephone call. If you try to suppress a sneeze, you can rupture a blood vessel in your head/neck and die. –> So let it blow! Rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, two rats could have over a million descendants. –> That’s a lot of rat kissing. Wearing headphones for just an hour[…]

The one where God is good.

So we are in the middle of my second week back at MNU and it has been going good. Except for today. This morning I woke up and my hair was a mess. I looked out the window and it was snowing and icy everywhere. My car doors were froze shut. I had to scrape my windshield. Then I realized that I lost my drivers license and debit card. I drove to Starbucks and they gave me the wrong drink. All the way to my job/internship downtown the traffic was so bad that I didn’t go over 45/50 miles an[…]

The one where break ends.

Well tomorrow I start my second semester of my sophomore year of college. Woah. I cannot believe that I will be half way done with my college experience after this semester. I am so excited to be back on campus with all of my friends and professors. Tomorrow is going to great. I think we are getting welcomed back and talking a little bit about our experience in Europe during chapel. Ill get to see a ton of people that I haven’t seen since last spring when we left for summer. Since the last time that I lived on campus[…]

The one where I couldn’t think of a title.

Well hello there people. It’s been awhile…wow the last time I posted I was in Europe! It feels like I have been back in the states for forever but it has only been a month. The semester that I lived in Europe was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am definitely missing the European scene that I was apart of and I can’t wait until I get to go back! But since being back I have got to see so many of my friends that I missed like crazy while I[…]

The one where I explored the streets of Rome.

Well this past week I was in ROME! So here is a recap of all that I got to do. 🙂 Day ONE: We arrived. Got checked in to the cutest B&B I have ever seen. Then we went out and ran into Auralian’s wall and then ate at a pizzeria. Each of us got a massive full sized pizza for only 5 euros! Day TWO: We got up. Bought our Roma passes for transportation and discounts to all the places we wanted to go. Headed to the area of the Roman forums and passed Capitoline hill and Trajon’s column[…]

The one when God answers prayer…with ME!

Hello there reader. Did you know that God is so awesome. Well just listen to this story. I went to ICF this past Sunday with a girl that I became friends with here named Corinna. She picked me up and off we went to the celebration.- They call their services ‘celebrations’ because they want everyone to know that they celebrate the Lord. Upon arrival we are waved down by her friends in the front that had saved us spots. -CELEBRATION HAPPENS- After it gets over one of the  girls sitting by my friend starts talking to me. We talked about[…]

The one where an Asian lady gets attacked by a swan.

HEY!  I’m so sorry that this is late- for some reason I couldn’t log in earlier this week. 🙁 But I can now so here we go! This past week I went to Lucerne and St. Gallen in Switzerland! We also had a fall banquet which was so amazing! Our fall banquet was a super nice night for all of us to get together with the staff and neighbors that live in Busingen. We all got dressed up, as much as we could with what we had, and had a great time. The dinner that we had was Raclette style[…]

The one with the epiphany.

For the past week I have livin it up in Frankfurt. As soon as I got off the train I knew I was going to like it there. And I was right. I absolutely loved this week! I learned many things about myself and God revealed so much to me about personal areas of my life as well as my future plans-His plans. We worked with Chris Zimmerman. Some of you might/should remember him speaking there at MNU earlier this semester. Well I am just gonna let my little notes about this whole experience speak for themselves. Ready. Set. Go. *Our vision is Heaven on[…]

The one where we worshipped in three languages, got ‘adopted,’ and walked like an Egyptian!

A lot has happened in Switzerland this week. So here’s a recap! ICF: A group of us went to Neuhausen to a youth/adult worship event and it was amazing. There were people from around ages 15 to about 30. Everyone got there and socialized while others bought coffee and snacks. Then at eight the craziness began. We filed into a big room with a stage. A video introducing all of the worship team played and then they all appeared. The whole night was multilingual and that was definitely my favorite aspect of the entire evening. We rocked out to songs in English then[…]
