A lot of my blogs and vlogs are about MNU’s fine arts departments like choir and theatre. The cool thing about MNU is that because we are a smaller community I have friends that participate in all different activities at school. Here’s a quick video that I made with my friend Tristin. Tristin is such a cool human being and she has been playing on MNU women’s basketball team for three years now!
And so the hunt beings. You can smell the excitement and fear in the air. It is internship application time! Some of us will come out victorious with our dream summer internship to look forward to… others of us will not be quite so lucky. Either way it is well worth the climb. Months ago I put in my application for Starlight Theatre’s summer production intern position. Applications were due at the end of March. Mine was turned in January 15th. This was my second year applying for an inters hip with Starlight. Last year I received an email saying that[…]Read More
As some of you know I am a junior business student. This semester I’m in a class called organizational behavior. In organizational behavior we do all of our projects and tests in groups. That’s right I said tests. Today my group presented to the class and one of our assignments was to create a video together. Below I have attached the video that we created for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! Elisa DavisRead More

What a lovely spring break! This year I went to Omaha, NE with my friend Renee just for fun. We visited the Omaha Zoo and Aquarium, went to an improv show, and visited The Old Market.
On Saturday morning we did yoga in the aquarium!
More of the aquarium…
Penguins! Named this one Reginald!
We also visited Bob the Pedestrian Bridge. This bridge is cool because you can stand it both Nebraska and Iowa at the same time!
In all it was a fabulous weekend. For only a three hour drive it was well worth the trip!
This spring MNU theatre is putting on a production of The 39 Steps March 29-April 2! The 39 Steps is a spy thriller comedy based off a movie by Alfred Hitchcock. Here’s a few behind the scenes photos of the show!Read More
This past weekend MNU celebrated 50 years! There were events all weekend long including MNU Theatre Through the Years which was a show with scenes and songs from many of the shows that MNU has performed for the last 50 years. MNU reached out to alumni that had been a part of the theatre department to see if they would return to perform their old roles. The current students filled in the roles that had not be claimed by alumni. There was about twenty alumni who came back to be in the show! With all the people that participated in[…]Read More
A couple of weeks ago my friend Blake Holden and I had a bet. We were in Des Moines, Iowa the last week of January for KCACTF. (I wrote an entire blog on KCACTF keep scrolling for details). The bet was simple. Whoever met the most people and took the most selfies with them by the end of the week won. The winner got to choose the outfit (from MNU’s costume closet) that the loser had to wear at our next improv show. Guess who won… ME. Feel free to go look at all the selfies I took with random[…]Read More
Here’s is the 100% true story of how I came about attending MidAmerica Nazarene University: (This story was meant to be read with a generic almost British accent similar to how they speak when performing Shakespeare… keep this in mind) My story begins in the magic area of Kansas City, Missouri. I was spending my days living in a beautiful castle (apartment building) right smack dab in the best (worst) party of KCMO. Guys, I Want A Castle. – Tangled GIF from Tangled GIFs It was my senior year of High School and the question had[…]Read More
