My Nights In with Dr. Meredith Grey, Dwight K. Schrute, & Haley James Scott

Hello friends! Can you believe it’s November? Because I can’t!  But no complaints from me, this is my favorite month of the year! Anyways.. I am sitting here jamming to Taylor Swift’s new album (yeah me and all my roommates are a little obsessed you can follow me on twitter if you want to really understand my obsession: @haleyraydo) wondering what I should write about this week.  Between the heartbreak from the Royals (I am still a very proud, loyal fan), us putting up our Christmas decorations (yes we are those people), again our suite’s obsession with Taylor Swift, me[…]

Life Update: Homecoming & A Thought on Hope

Hello friends! So, homecoming week has come and gone… and let me just say it was a blast! SO many fun memories were made; ASG did a fantastic job! Also I have a random thought I have been thinking about this last week.  Although it was nice to have a bit of distraction from some of the struggles of life with all the fun events of Homecoming week… I have in the last few weeks been a little down…. But don’t worry there is HOPE!  I have a quick thought I would like to share on that in a bit…[…]

Why You Should Go to (School In) Kansas City

Hello friends! Nice of you to stop by– and can I say this semester has flown by!  We now only have 7 weeks left of this fall semester…. (mind-blown gasp)  Yes its crazy, its intense, its ridiculous, and its scary– but lets not let that stop us from enjoying a read and learning about an amazing city.  Yup, KANSAS CITY actually IS an amazing city. Now I put “school in” in parentheses because you can leave those words in or out.  If you have already graduated college or already attend a college than lets read this as “Why You Should[…]

Advice Session 4: Take Your Walk to the Next Level

Hello friends! Now if you know anything about me you will know that I love to give advice.  I mean LOVE it.  That is in fact what I am studying to be (I am majoring in psych because I want to be a counselor).  I am really passionate about seeing people come into their own potential in what God wants to do in their lives. So if you have read any of my blogs last year I did a few Advice Sessions so I thought why not? (shoulder shrug). I wanted to give you a few things that have really[…]

#BeRoyalKC

Hello friends! I can not even begin to describe my excitement this week has held for me!  As a sports fan born and raised in Kansas City, the last several years have been rather disappointing.  Between the Chiefs and the Royals, a few tears have been shed, several screams of frustration have escaped, and an every once and awhile throwing of an object, have been spread throughout my lifetime.  The only news of glory from my KC sports teams were stories my dad, uncles, and grandpas liked to talk about. And just within this last week, the Royals… THE Kansas City[…]

One Month Down, And Many More to Go!

Hello friends! I am back and at it again! I am now an official sophomore at MNU and I am quite enjoying myself (besides the endless amounts of homework).  We are about a month into school now and so much has went down!  Here are some top memories to keep you up to date! Above the title picture are my lovely and beautiful suitemates on the first day of school! That day we were really excited, and its been all downhill since ;).  My friend Rachel is in the nursing program so she is extra excited and extra stressed.  […]

A Look Back: Freshman Year

Hello friends! We are at the final week of school here at MidAmerica.  It is exciting, sad, and weird all at the same time.  It is so crazy to me how I have already been through my first year of college! It literally flew by.  I had some great memories, and I learned a lot too. So in honor of the end of school, here are some of my favorite memories =: HOMECOMING 2013 I wrote a whole blog about this night… I mean it was absolutely insane.  We got to Uptown Theater had a bunch of fun, but we[…]

Behind The Scenes of MNU’s Production: Little Women

Hello friends! I hope you all have had a great week! It has been so nice out here in Olathe… 77 degrees today!  If that doesn’t put you in a good mood I don’t know what will! Here is a video from MNU’s production this spring of “Little Women”.  The staff was so kind to let me in back stage to get the inside scoop for all you blog people out there! So here it is! P.S. if you are interested, MNU has a great theater (theatre?) program! 🙂 Last fall they produced a musical “Annie Get Your Gun” which[…]

The Final Countdown: One Month of School Left

Hello friends! It has been another crazy week to say the least!  But knowing that summer is only a short month away has been keeping me going!  Which is absolutely insane! Where did the time go?  This semester literally flew by and we still have Easter Break! The bad news about only having a month left (besides leaving all your best friends) is the end of year crams.  Grades need to be up, and there is the stress to do well on every assignment, test, quiz, paper left!  (P.S. The final countdown guy is awesome) If you are anything like[…]

Just Stop and Learn to Be on the Beach: Life Update

Hello friends! So these last couple of weeks have been action-packed to say the least.  Last week was spring break and it was definitely much needed.  Because all my professors felt like pushing all of their exams and papers to the week before break, the week off felt so sweet.  The weather in Kansas was all over the place, at least so I heard.  I was in Texas with my family which was amazing! (60-70 degree weather days, it can’t get more perfect) And for all you mid-westerners who haven’t seen the beach in quite sometime, here is the beach[…]
