Mosaic

There are many times where the Lord provides a calling for someone in allowing them to meet some sort of need. This last summer, my fiance, who is a youth and worship pastor at a local church, was made aware of a need within our church community. Many people within the 18-30 age range (the Mosaic Generation) were desperately in need of community and were struggling finding it on their own. After numerous discussions with various people including the church staff, my fiance decided to take on the committment of launching a young adult ministry.

Towards the beginning of last semester a team of about 6 of us started meeting every other week to begin planning what this new ministry would look like and praying that the Lord would direct our decisions. We began spreading the word about it officially meeting as a group, incorporating worship, teaching, and prayer into our times together. Thorought the semester we sought to develop a clear vision of what the Lord wanted this ministry to look like and developed some plans for this spring semester. Last week we had our first meeting together since the break and it was so exciting seeing all the people that the Lord brought to be a part of this ministry. Tonight we start meeting together in small groups and I am really excited about beeing a part of this new vision! I pray that the Lord would begin to form a community out of this group of people and begin to shape us and challenge us through one another.
