an airplane to Austin, and an Artshow

Hey Friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve last posted, but don’t worry, I haven’t just been sitting around doing nothing for  a couple of weeks. I want to show you guys what I did for Christmas this year! And it wasn’t exactly a white Christmas… So this year was the first time I went somewhere out of my home state for Christmas. I went to Austin, Texas! This is where my mom is currently located, so my brother and I took a plane to Austin and celebrated Christmas with her, just the three of us. Here’s a picture of the beautiful sunrise I[…]

Tis’ the Season

Christmas break: No school Family time Friends galore Getting swole’ Coffee shop visits on coffee shop visits I guess this time of year isn’t that bad. Despite the wretched cold….  From a Christian perspective, it is the time of waiting, preparation, and anticipation. It’s the season of Advent. Now, I am nowhere near an expert on this idea and what it fully looks like, yet, I know how the initial idea affects me. In my mind there is a consistent fight of the concept of Christmas by the mass media. I see all these wants and a ton of receiving.[…]

Santa, Snow, and Studying

Hello friends :] So, right now I am currently at Starbucks.. drinking coffee.. and studying for the 4 finals, added on with 3 unit tests that I have.  In college, for me at least, coffee shops and MNU’s library are two of my favorite places to be. Lately, I have spent a lot of my time at both of these places. For me today, Starbucks has taken a little bit of the stress off of the insane amount of information I have to cram into my brain this week. So thank you Starbucks! Also, this is maybe one of the only places that I get wifi…so that’s cool. This past week/weekend was just full[…]

Breaks are nice

Hello Friends! This past week was our Thanksgiving break! I got the chance to go home and eat some delicious home cooked meals, catch up with some pretty cool friends, and spend time with my lovely family! My sisters were even waiting for me when I came home, which is pretty awesome to come home to! Here are some pictures to show you guys the things I did this past week! One great thing I got to do was go see Catching Fire! The movie was pretty amazing. I really wish I would have read the books though because I heard from multiple people that if[…]

Mission Impossible

Hello Blog World. This video is part of the worship service at my church on Sunday. Funny story about that. So I guess you could say I’m the type of person that likes new things. I like trying/starting new things, and it doesn’t take much for me to get really EXCITED. I enjoy looking for new music, activities, playing new games, going new places, etc. And on the contrary, I get really bored with the same things over and over. I get bored easily and withdraw most often. I lose interest and move on to something… well.. new. Last year[…]

A Warm Welcome Back

Hey friends! So midterms have come and gone and this weekend we finally got a break! So I decided to take a trip back home! It was really nice to finally see my family and friends after a few weeks. It was also my brothers 22nd birthday, so his girlfriend threw him a surprise party! I thought I’d share with you some pictures of my endeavors this weekend and also some pictures of my family and friends! This is my really cute dog. His name is Oliver and he is the best dog ever. My heart was overjoyed when I saw him. :] These are my[…]

Hiking? In Tennessee? I think so :)

YES! It happened! Through Kairos, our wednesday night chapel service, we went hiking at Savage Gulch in Tennessee over spring break! It was a week of amazingness, let me tell you! I don’t even know where to start. There was hiking (obviously :P), beautiful scenery, amazing fellowship, and plus Savage Gulch is only 2 hours north of Nashville! So not only did we see some of America’s most amazing landscapes, but we also got the chance to see one of America’s best cities.  But before I get a head of myself, how about I start from the beginning? So 7 am,[…]

SPRING to the BREAK

As much as I would have loved to have gone on some sort of trip or traveled somewhere during the break, I am so thankful to have had some time to just relax and start hacking away at THE LIST (the never-ending task list of wedding details, school papers and projects, internships details…and on it goes). My fiance and I finally registered for our wedding which proved to be an all-day event. Let me tell you, bedbath&beyond is INTENSE. That place is packed to the brim from floor to ceiling, no joke. It was such a blast creating our wish list together, scanning[…]

Just Another Coffee Engulfed, Library Stationed, Book Digging Session

It was a nice break while it lasted, but our snow days are officially over!  Now it’s back to the dreaded homework we have been putting off and the horrid tests coming up we neglected to study for.  The bustle of school is back and it is time to get into the common groove once again.  So it’s time to load up on coffee, hit the library, and dig our Pioneer noses in the books. Now, during one of my coffee engulfed, library stationed, nose digging sessions….wait, I probably shouldn’t say nose digging should I? It doesn’t quite sound like[…]

Cafe con Leche

This is my life!! Can I just tell you how many hours of sleep I’ve gotten this week? Maybe like 3 total every night. Some wise person once said that you can choose 2 of the following: Good grades, a social life, or sleep. Don’t get me wrong, sleeping is one of my favorite activities. It seems like I have intentions every night to be in bed by midnight. Rarely does this happen, and the nights that it does, I’m up thinking about all the things I need to do until 2 or 3 am. The point of this story[…]
