“Winter Is Coming!” The Forecast Said, So Where in the World Is It?

This week, we all were about to go to Nebraska to compete at one of the best college tracks in the country. Sadly though, the weather forecast for this very same weekend showed that a major ice-storm would hit us by yesterday. Fortunately, as any good 21st century, politically correct institution would act, our incredible trip was cancelled. As we all can see from our windows, the horrendous snowstorm we have been warned before has not showed up yet. So, instead of kicking some behinds in Nebraska, here I am sitting in my living room asking myself, “How come that[…]

My Election Night at MNU

November 8 was one of the most thrilling days I have ever witnessed. I think that most of us still don’t believe who won. However, I am happy and proud of our MNU community for accepting the outcome without any drama, unlike some other people. This is how democracy works. Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose. What made me happy was the fact that I could say, “I told you so,” to everybody who considered Trump just a joke. I was curious who the American people would choose. Frankly, there weren’t many options on the table, but somehow this orange-face[…]

Is It a Dream or Is It For Real? 2016 Election

Guys, I am so happy I don’t have to choose between Mr. Wall and Mrs. FBI in this election. Some people say they’ll vote for the lesser of two evils. Sadly, this evil will be the most powerful person in our world for the next four years, and that makes me feel a bit anxious. At the same time, though, I laugh because every-time I think that they’ve hit the bottom of indecency, some other scandal appears. It is like going through a haunted house. You think this was the last scary room, and yet there is another guy holding[…]

If I Could Vote…

Hey everyone! After watching the Presidential debate last night, I really wish I could vote for the United States. I know that a lot of people think that one vote doesn’t count, but it is still privilege to have it. Politics never were of big interest to me until I realized what is going on in our world today. I am still not as informed as I wish I was, but I try to consume as many news as possible. Whenever I am home, that becomes easier for me while in Kansas I always have the excuse to say that[…]

A Journey to the European Capital

There are two kinds of places I enjoy visiting. The first one is any place with an interesting ancient history. The second kind is any place that has a significant role in our world nowadays, and Brussels surely is one of those places. It is a beautiful centre of the European Union. In the eyes of Europeans, Brussels is a symbol of wealth and prosperity, however, I realized very quickly that the city had two different faces. I chose Brussels as my destination, because I wanted to see where I am going to work one day. Yes, I want to[…]
