10K Ministerial Scholarship Winner Announced

D.J. Burk Ministerial Assistance Trust Helps Student

MidAmerica Nazarene University is proud to announce junior ministry major, Luke Letsinger of Marshfield, Mo., is the recipient of a $10,000 scholarship from The D.J. Burk Ministerial Assistance Trust.  Semi-annually applications are reviewed for ministry students seeking employment as a senior pastor upon graduation. The D.J. Burk Ministerial Assistance Trust’s goal is help those students preparing to be a senior pastor graduate with as little debt as possible to ease their transition into ministry.

Dr. Randy Cloud, professor of religion, is shown presenting Luke with his scholarship check. MidAmerica Nazarene University is grateful for charitable trusts such as the D.J. Burk Ministerial Assistance Trust supporting our students. Luke’s father Brian and brother Landon are senior pastors on the Joplin District for the Church of the Nazarene. He is the sixth member of his family to attend MidAmerica Nazarene University.
