Ron Jackson is currently the Dean of Campus Life and an adjunct professor in youth ministry at MidAmerica Nazarene University. He holds degrees from Jefferson Davis College, The University of Alabama (Roll Tide Roll), Trevecca Nazarene University and the Nazarene Theological Seminary.  Ron has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 29 years and has two daughters Katie (A sophomore at MNU) and Kristi (High School Sr.).

Ron Jackson was an associate pastor with the Church of the Nazarene for 29 years. He has served as a youth pastor, a children’s pastor and a pastor to college and young adult students. An ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene since 1984, Ron has been on the pastoral staff of Nazarene churches in South Alabama, Charlotte N.C., Oklahoma City, Dallas and Kansas City.  He was elected District Nazarene Youth International (NYI) President for the Dallas District (1989-90) and the Kansas City District (1995-97). He also served as the regional trainer for the North Central Regional NYI (1997-99). Ron has written for Group Magazine, Youth Worker Journal and many other publications for the Church of the Nazarene

Ron is available to speak in your local church for services and can also speak in settings such as retreats, camps, community events, seminars, and other special events.  In addition, Ron leads a number of workshops for youth and youth leaders focusing on leadership, meetings and identity formation. For Students and Student Leaders: Leadership 101: What kind of Leader are you? – This ACTIVE workshop will explore three broad leadership styles in an effort to allow participants to discover their dominate leadership style. The workshop will also focus on leadership traits that are common to all leaders. (1 Hour)

For Students and Adult LEADERS: Death By Meeting: How to conduct an effective meeting - You don’t have to be in church leadership for very long before you find out that we have a lot of meetings to attend. As a student or adult leader in the church it may be your responsibility to conduct meetings. This session will explore simple techniques and practices that can aid us in conducting more constructive meetings.  (45 minutes)

For Youth Workers and Youth PastorsWho am I? - Identity Formation in Youth: – Exploring Adolescent Development in teenagers. All of us are on a quest to answer the question "Who am I?", but at no time in our lives is the answer more critical then during the teenage years. This interactive seminar is designed to give participants an overview of adolescent development as well as exploring strategies for communicating with, reaching, teaching and loving teenagers. (1.5 – 2 hours)
