Seating and Tickets
Tickets are not required for any of the Commencement Ceremonies. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremonies are held in the College Church of the Nazarene Sanctuary. The doors to the sanctuary will be open one hour prior to the start of the Ceremony. Seats may not be saved less than 30 minutes prior.
Due to the seats reserved for the graduates, seating is limited on the main floor. The Balcony is open seating. Entry to the Balcony can be found through the stairs in the North Lobby or via the stairs on either side, inside the Sanctuary. NOTE: There is not an elevator to the Balcony.
Harvest Prayer Ceremony
Immediately following the Traditional Undergraduate Commencement on Saturday, the graduates, faculty, and guests will process to the Harvest Prayer Sculpture on the Campus Green, in front of Smith Hall.
To attend the ceremony, exit the church through the North Lobby and follow (please do not drive) the faculty and graduates as they march to the Harvest Prayer Sculpture.
Shuttle service to Smith Hall (adjacent to the Campus Green) for individuals with limited mobility. Please board the shuttle at the northeast door of Vanderpool Lobby following Baccalaureate. Return transportation will also be provided following the Harvest Prayer Ceremony.
There will NOT be Nursery services provided.
Lost and Found
The official Lost and Found of the weekend is at the Information Booth, located in the Vanderpool Lobby, College Church. Please be aware that we are unable to provide a secure place for you to leave personal items. The university is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Any guest of a graduate needing special accommodations including wheelchair accessible seating should contact Linda Baldridge at 913-971-3392.
Sign Language Interpreters will be available and stationed on the platform for both Commencement Ceremonies. There is no reserved seating. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrival 45 minutes prior to the event start is recommended.
