April 7-11, 2014

Join us for the first annual Week of Scholarship at MidAmerica Nazarene University—an exciting celebration of creativity, research and academic achievement. All events are free and open to the public.

The week kicks off on Tuesday, April 8, with an exclusive Scholar Visit Day for area high-achieving high school students. The highlight event of the day is our 7x7 Challenge. Open to the public, 7 MNU professors will present individual 7-minute lectures on a topic in their areas of expertise. The audience chooses the winner of "The Golden Brain"!

Faculty will present their research posters in Bell Cultural Events Center on Wednesday, April 9, in the afternoon. Current MNU students will present their research on Thursday, April 10, in the afternoon.

The feature event for Thursday, April 10, is a practical workshop on Networking Skills. The public, MNU students, faculty and staff are invited to join us at Mabee Library where, Alana Muller, President of Kauffman FastTrac, will share useful information from her recently published book, Coffee Lunch Coffee and companion blog, CoffeeLunchCoffee.com, and will lead attendees in a variety of networking exercises.

The Week of Scholarship will culiminate with the President's Honors Gala, MNU's premier fundraising event to benefit student scholarships at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Through generous donations, alumni and friends of the university fund more than $450,000 for student scholarships and academic achievement.
