Federal Scholarships

The Army ROTC Federal Scholarship will cover 100% of your tuition and fees, $1200 a year for books and up to $500 in a monthly stipend to help with living expenses. Scholarships are available in lengths of 2, 3 or 4 years, depending on which academic year you are and your college graduation date. If you would like additional information or to fill out a scholarship application, go to www.goarmy.com/rotc, click on the High School Students link to create an account and start your application process. Initial Application Deadline is January 20, 2012. All updates are required to be postmarked by 28 February. Green To Gold

Army ROTC also accepts 2, 3, and 4 year Green-to-Gold (GTG) Scholarship recipients. The GTG program is designed for active duty soldiers who desire to complete their education and earn their commission as a 2LT in the Active Duty, National Guard, or Army Reserves. Soldiers applying for GTG must have approval of their chain of command AND must be accepted to the university prior to award of a scholarship.
Enlisted Soldiers should apply for the Green to Gold Program at www.armyrotc.com.

On Campus Scholarships

On Campus scholarships are offered to both current and future students who were not offered or did not apply for the Federal ROTC Scholarship or Green-to-Gold program. These scholarships range in length from 2 to 4 years. Scholarship awardees also receive a book allowance for $1200 per year and also receive a monthly stipend.

Nursing Scholarships

Army ROTC offers scholarships for qualified nursing students who seek to become an Army Nurse. Students who receive a Nursing Scholarship are guaranteed a job as an Army Nurse in an Army hospital upon graduation and commissioning. Nursing scholarships also include board fees, a stethoscope, and all class expenses directly related to nursing. Minimum requirements for scholarship application:

  • Full-time student enrollment status
  • 2.5 GPA (2.0 GPA to enroll without scholarship)
  • 19 ACT or 920 SAT
  • Must be younger than 31 the calendar year of commissioning
  • Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test and DoD Medical Exam

Average qualifications for scholarship award:

  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • 25 ACT or better
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Physically active in sports/exercise
