New Community Life and Summer Conferences Director Announced.

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Ron Jackson, College Pastor at Olathe College Church of the Nazarene for the past 18 years, will join the MNU Community on July 1 as Director of Community Life and Summer Conferences. Ron‘s appointment is a strategic development to meet our priority goals of an energetic and engaging campus community life. His responsibilities will include supervision of Associate Student Government, Land Gym, Intramurals, Student Activities, and Summer Conferences.

Ron comes to MidAmerica after 28 years of staff ministry at Olathe College Church, Richardson (TX) Church of the Nazarene, Oklahoma City Lakeview Park Church of the Nazarene and East Brewton (AL) Church of the Nazarene. His experience and expertise in youth and college ministry will be a strong asset for MidAmerica.

“The time I spent on a Nazarene university campus was foundational to my life,” Jackson said. “So much of who I am and how I do ministry as a pastor is directly related to my education and experiences there. To be able to return to a campus and minister directly to and with students is a dream come true. I’m humbled and honored to become part of the ministry team at MidAmerica.”

Jackson holds bachelors degrees from the University of Alabama and Trevecca Nazarene University, and a graduate degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He has been accepted to the Doctor of Ministry program at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN.

Ron and his wife Sharon, who works part-time in the Spiritual Life Office, reside in Olathe with their two daughters.
