Hundreds gathered September 20, 2023, to mark the groundbreaking for the Copeland Athletic Complex at MNU. More than 200 MNU student-athletes were among Olathe community members, city officials, project donors, MNU alumni, faculty and staff who celebrated the achievement of a dream.

Mabee Foundation Gift of $1 Million is Second-Largest Endowment at MNU

MNU announced today that it received a $1 million gift from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation to fund a scholarship endowment. The gift is part of the Mabee Foundation’s 75th anniversary celebration. The endowment will provide funding to help transform the lives of students seeking an education as well as those they serve in their future careers. It is the second-largest endowment gift in MNU’s 57-year history.

MNU Athletics Earns NAIA Champions of Character^® Five-Star Award

MNU is once again an NAIA Champions of Character® Five-Star Award, earning 100/100 points and placing among the top 27 institutions out of 171 winners. MNU is a member of the Champions of Character Five-Star Heart of America Athletic Conference (HEART).

Taylor To Lead Honors Program

the prestigious MNU Honors Program has a new director. Rion Taylor, PhD, Brent A. and B. Lynette Barkman endowed professor in science, interdisciplinary studies program director and professor of biology, is now at the helm and eager to begin this work with talented students from all areas of study.

Mabee Challenge Met: Copeland Athletic Complex Fully Funded

MidAmerica Nazarene University announced today that its $2-million challenge from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation to support the new $12-million Copeland Athletic Complex has been met. As a result of this year-long challenge, the project is fully funded, and the groundbreaking is scheduled for September 20, 2023, at 10 a.m.

Baldwin One of 19 Scholarship Recipients From Kansas Schools

Stanley Baldwin, a junior chemistry and kinesiology major at MNU will receive the Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship awarded by the Kansas Independent College Foundation (KICA). Stanley is among 19 recipients from Kansas universities who have demonstrated excellence in academics, character and integrity.
