For as far back as I can remember, I have loved using my hands to create and I can’t imagine not doing so. As a ceramic artist, I make handmade functional wares for people to use and enjoy. I also love to make wheel thrown and altered sculptural pieces for indoor and outdoor settings. My artwork is an expression of the God’s goodness and beauty. Contemplation, praise, and worship are often intertwined with my creative process. Inspiration for my work regularly comes from the colors, textures, and forms I find in nature, particularly when I’m working in my flower gardens. I love to throw and grow, and I am passionate about my work! I am an alumna of MidAmerica Nazarene University (BA) and I have also had the privilege of instructing in the MNU Department of fine Arts since 2006, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Out of the desire to spend more time with family, I currently am beginning a new chapter as a potter working exclusively from my home in Spring Hill Kansas. Presented in partnership with the Department of Arts & Humanities.
