Gathering Chapel: Tammie Jo Shults

Southwest Air Captain Tammie Jo Shults, a 1983 MNU alum, will share the captivating true story of her remarkable life. Her book Nerves of Steel, chronicles growing up the daughter of a humble rancher, to breaking through gender barriers as one of the Navy’s first female F/A-18 Hornet pilots, to safely landing the severely crippled Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 and helping save the lives of 148 people. The public is welcome at MNU Community Chapel.

Students: In order to receive Spiritual Formation Credit for attending this chapel service, please arrive by 9:35 AM and scan in using your student ID card. Likewise, at the conclusion of chapel, please use your student ID to scan out. If a student arrives after 9:35 AM, they are more than welcome to stay for chapel, but they cannot receive credit for attending this service.
