Kansas Sousa Band Audition Virtual Masterclass
Our event this year will be virtual, but will still feature opportunities to interact directly with our applied faculty.
Sunday, September 27 - 30 minute block between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm
What will the event look like?
Students will be assigned a 30 minute time block with no more than 3 other students, for an interactive small group lesson with MNU’s applied instrumental faculty. The event will focus on the Kansas Sousa band audition materials and tips on how to prepare your audition for this prestigious event.
Who can attend?
KS Sousa Band auditions are for students from grades 6-9 and our event is geared towards helping those students.
We will provide instruction for: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, All Saxophones, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Baritone/Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion.
There will be a cap of 16 students per instrument. Priority will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What is needed for the event?

- Working instrument
- Reliable internet connection and Zoom software
Only $5 per student. A few days prior to the event, you will be sent a zoom link and the exact time for your session.
