Elementary Education Degree & Kansas Teaching Licensure Program

Program Overview

The Accelerated Elementary Education program at MNU allows you to complete your degree or licensure.

The accelerated program is structured so that you can work toward a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in a flexible format built for working adults.

Already have a degree in another area? Take advantage of the licensure option, giving you the same ability to teach in an elementary setting in just 18 months. Either way, you’ll be able to work full-time during the first 12 months of the program.

  • Meets on-site, 2 nights per week
  • Fulfill 70 credit hours at $379 per credit hour
  • Complete your Bachelor's or Licensure in 18 months
  • Attend class in Olathe

Our program is fully accredited by NCATE and KSDE. Even though courses meet on campus, our instructors often enhance their lessons with podcasts, vodcasts, social networking, wikis, and other electronic delivery technology. Students may also engage in real-time webcasts with instructors throughout the program using virtual collaboration tools like Adobe Connect, allowing for asynchronized and synchronized learning each week.

Costs & Value

A degree from MNU is a competitively priced, affordable option designed for students with a busy schedule. We’re here to help you find the best options to assist you as you work toward earning your degree.

  • Credit Hours: 70 total* *67-70 credit hours needed (dependent upon
    the need for 9-12 hours of student teaching credits).
  • Onsite & Online Tuition: $379/credit hour** **Prices effective July 1, 2017 for new starts.

Payment Options

Your degree is an investment in your future. We have a variety of different payment options available, so you can choose the option or combination of options, that best fits your situation. Total cost, including fees and tuition, will be calculated based on your program, and can be divided into multiple payments. Family Education Discount
