Health and Dental Coverage

Health and dental coverage for the employee is provided by the University. Dependant and family benefits are available at an additional cost to the employee. Coverage is effective the first month following the first day of employment. 

The required Summary Benefit Comparisons (SBC) for the HMO, PPO and HDHP plans with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City are below.  Please contact Human Resources for a more accurate description of the plans.

 Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, and LTD

The University provides basic Life Insurance, basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D), and Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage.

AFLAC

Full time employees may elect to participate in any of the following options provided by AFLAC:

Participation is voluntary with premiums paid by the employee.

 

Retirement Information

Full time employees may elect to participate in a 403(b) plan. The plan options are:

Eligible participants are vested immediately upon enrollment.

Community Service Leave

The University provides two days (16 hours) of paid leave for employees to provide volunteer services in our community.

Short Term Disability

The University provides disability leave for full time faculty and staff after one year of employment.
